Moving Further into Ajax

Ajax is a complex subject, and integrating Rails with Ajax opens up many more possibilities. The Prototype and Script.aculo.us functionality supported through RJS provides a foundation on which you can build, but complex interfaces will eventually require you to write JavaScript directly. As you do more with RJS and JavaScript, debugging will become more and more important, and the Firebug plug-in (for Firefox) will likely become a trusted friend.
