In this chapter, we discussed how to design routes and add methods to the model. We saw how
sessions can be used to pass user information across requests and perform basic operations on lists, such as create, fetch, edit, delete, and so on. We also used the
before block to easily check for valid user sessions. Additionally, using an ORM made the task a lot simpler than writing raw SQL queries. In the next chapter, we will see how to design HTML pages using HAML.
