It's now time to start on our second example Splunk App. As we discussed in the first chapter of this book, the second example we are going to be looking at is a simulation of cell growth across time. We will use this example to continue learning about Simple XML; then we will expand our knowledge further and start to work with dashboard layouts. We are going to run through the instructions pretty quickly in the next section to get our Splunk App up and running, but by now you should be a lot more familiar with using Git, Splunk, and Simple XML.
