Packaging up our Splunk apps
So far, we have been doing a lot of work with Git and GitHub in tracking our changes and controlling our development process. We have also used it as a method of deploying our Splunk App across our development, test, and production environments. Git is a great way to do this, and we should continue to work this way, especially in the development environment, but when it comes to deploying across production environments, we should start to look at packaging our Splunk App in the approved Splunkpackage format.
