Creating reports using SSDT

In the following sections, we will look at creating reports using SSDT, deploying the report to the report server, and modifying a report in the SSDT user interface.

Hands-on exercise 2.1 – creating a report using the Report Server Project Wizard

We are now ready to try out and create a report using SSDT.

  1. Click on Report Server Project Wizard. Change the default name from Report Project 1 to RSPW2012 and click on OK. This creates a folder for the project and the location of files at c:\users\<Username>documents\visual studio 2010\Projects.
