TRANSFORMING COURSES FOR THE ONLINE CLASSROOM
As we meet with faculty around the country, we frequently find that both novices and seasoned instructors struggle with transforming a course that has been taught for years in the face-to-face classroom into one that will work well online. As we have stated previously, simply putting lecture material online is not the answer. Although current lecture-capture applications make this easy to do, we caution against this practice because lecturing online is not the best way to engage students at a distance.
