SUCCESSFUL NETWORKING STARTS WITH A GOOD STORY HOOK
THERE’S A KNOT IN my stomach and my heart is pumping as if I’m running at a full sprint. But all I’m doing is pacing back and forth, stopping to look in the mirror, adjusting my hair and suit jacket for what feels like the thousandth time. “Hi,” I say to the mirror. Then “Hi!” with artificial cheer. “I’m Esther. Esther Choy. I’m an entrepreneur, and. . . .” The words trail off, as if they don’t belong to me.
