It begins by summarising the many challenges that libraries – and societies more generally – face now and for the foreseeable future. It draws attention to the importance of information and communications technology (ICT) as one of the key drivers, not only in terms of infrastructure provision but also with respect to the ways in which information and content are stored, accessed and harnessed to best effect.
