The irony of the current learning technology marketplace is that vendors still believe if they build it, you will come. How do I know this? Not long ago, I was a vendor consultant who was drinking and, admittedly, intoxicated by e-learning Kool-Aid. I couldn't get enough of the stuff! I read the pundit press; I read all the vendor marketing slicks I could get my hands on; I could speak e-learning jargon with the best of them. I loved it! I wrote about it, built it, and sold it. I was a card-carrying member of the vendor e-learning elite.
