effectively inhibited.
During cornering, however, when the outer rear
wheel has a greater distance to travel than the inner
one,
the speeding up of its sun pinion is such as to cause
relative rotation of the planet pinions about the other
sun pinion, which of course is slowing down. This
reversal of torque in the plane of the cross-pins allows
them to retreat down their ramps and partially de-
