Handbrake arrangement for disc brakes
The addition of a handbrake mechanism to the disc
brake poses certain problems, which partly account
for the mixed system of front disc and rear drum brakes
being used in conventional practice, although an
alternative approach is to build a small drum handbrake
mechanism into the disc hub.
Problems arise because the disc brake is to all intents
