Accent Lighting: Directional lighting used to emphasize a particular object or draw atten-
tion to a display item.
Ambient Lighting: The general lighting present in an area that is set to create an atmo-
sphere. It is a combination of general, architectural, and task lighting.
Arc Tube: A sealed quartz or ceramic tube where the electrical discharge (arc) occurs
andgenerates light.
