In this Part, you take control of your Linux computer. You find out what all those weird file extensions are (.gz? .tgz? .rpm? Huh?). You find out how to install new software, update your system, and track down even more new software. Then you discover some of the arcane hand-waving involved in administering a Linux system. For example, maybe you want to make an account for your little sister so she doesn’t access boy band forums from your account. Finally, you take a walk into the land of basic Linux security.
