8.2. Risk assessment
Security is one of the first considerations for any server environment, whether it is a new system or an existing system that is used for new business opportunities.
All security is about managing risk. We have chosen a risk analysis approach as a framework for security. Using ISPCompany and StoreCompany as concrete examples, we first introduce some general aspects of security. Then we look at more details pertaining to the areas we introduce here, in particular, how they relate to Linux on the mainframe (see Figure 8-1).
