Bibliotheca Alexandrina: carry forward capital of memory
Abstract:
This chapter focuses on Bibliotheca Alexandrina, or the new Library of Alexandria. In the decade since it opened in 2002, Bibliotheca Alexandrina has made tremendous progress. Aspiring to be the world’s window on Egypt, and Egypt’s window on the world, BA has been building a series of digital projects including a digital library, Documentation of Heritage, open knowledge, and science and technology projects.
