Using social tools: RSS feeds
Abstract:
This chapter discusses RSS feeds in detail. RSS is a favorite social media tool with libraries for reaching their local communities by automatically syndicating their web content, such as the community calendar of events, exhibitions and lectures, and news of newly acquired titles and resources. Despite differences in cultures and languages, RSS has been extensively utilized to publish library programs and services, due to its unique power of delivering changing content to interested users.
