The librarian’s role as information manager
Abstract:
This chapter redefines the role of librarians as information managers – which is not a new concept. What separates Web 3.0 from other eras is that librarians can fulfill their full potential through the promising functionality of the Semantic Web. Specific tasks include the realization of findability, accuracy, user protection, and customizing computer programming for the management and retrieval of information.
