The librarian’s role as teacher
Abstract:
This chapter examines the redefined role of librarians as teachers. To help their local communities to keep abreast of new changes and trends, librarians need to learn to be a step or two ahead of the curve. The proposed suggestions include systematic and continuous training of staff members, and ongoing tutorial classes and lectures for the public using a combination of social media tools and traditional teaching methods.
