As a library user and professional, I was both excited and concerned at the news that George R. Lawrence’s six panoramic aerial photographs of Santa Cruz in 1906 had at last been made available through the Library of Congress (LC) (http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/collections/panoramic_photo/pnphtgs.html).1 My excitement was due to the fact that they would be a valuable addition to Peter Nurkes’ “Notes on the 1906 Aerial Panorama of Santa Cruz by George Lawrence,” an existing page on the website of Santa Cruz Public Libraries (SCPL) (http://www.santacruzpl.org/history/articles/182/).
