Illustrative brand identity icon: Virgin Australia Flying Lady
Client
Project
A logo’s icon speaks without words. Very often it is the only “word” one
reads. So important is the icon that it takes just the right hand to create it.
In 2010, Virgin Airlines commissioned Sydney-based brand and design
consultancy Hulsbosch to spearhead a complete overhaul of the Virgin
Blue brand, from positioning to naming to creating the visual identity. Virgin
wanted Hulsbosch to take Virgin Blue upmarket and to remove its low-cost
heritage from every aspect of its brand deliveries.
