STARTING A NEW SONG

If this is the first time you have used GarageBand, the New Project dialog will appear. Otherwise, you can bring up the New Project dialog by selecting File New. Figure 2.1 shows the New Project dialog.

To begin, you can use the default filename My Song or type your own song title in the Save As field. You can save your project in the default GarageBand folder or choose a different one by clicking the inverted triangle button to the right of the Save As ...
