Abstract
The concept of smart cities has recently received a lot of attention. Most governments throughout the world are undertaking various initiatives to construct smart cities. The Indian Government has also announced the “National Smart Cities Mission” for urban retrofitting, revitalization, and creating smart cities across India. The fundamental goal of this mission is to utilize the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to build new cities or to convert existing cities and make them more sustainable and citizen-friendly. Vehicle parking will become a major issue in Indian cities. It is mainly due to poor planning and land scarcity, and it has led to a slew of other issues, such as traffic congestion, pollution, economic losses, and so on. IoT makes extensive use of sensors and transducers to collect real-time data from the physical world.
