Abstract

The oil and gas industry produces great volumes of data on an ongoing basis. This data must be acquired, stored, curated, and made available properly for data science to be able to take place. This process starts at the sensor and continues via systems such as the control system and the historian. In this journey, information and operational technologies converge.
