Overview of ETSI machine-to-machine and oneM2M architectures

Abstract
This chapter introduces machine-to-machine (M2M) generic architectural aspects that are currently (Q2 2014) undergoing standardization and details some of the important key issues to be taken into account. Furthermore, an example is provided via the consideration of the smart home domain showing how a particular M2M domain, commonly called “a vertical,” can leverage the generic M2M standard.
