Compared to other established media–novels, TV dramas, radio pop music countdowns–the Web is young. Like all new media forms, it is constantly changing. These changes often mean that established Web sites need reworking. For example, many organizations are replacing attractive Web presence sites, that is, sites that establish a static presence on the Internet but do little else, with interactive sites that inform, entertain, sell merchandise, organize activists, and so on.
