Chapter 19. Components

Flash MX introduced components to the Macromedia family. In Flash MX 2004, components have grown to a much more sophisticated level, speeding up development of interfaces.

In this chapter, we review what components are, how to add them to your Stage, and how to get some data into them. We also review the basics of what to do when a user interacts with one of them.
