Chapter 4. Text in Flash
When you get right down to it, the primary way to convey information on your Web site is through text. Macromedia Flash gives you control not only over the type of text you can add to a document but also over the properties of the text. Text can be loaded into a Flash document from a Web server or can be added directly to the Stage. After the text is in place, the kerning, character spacing, leading, font style, font size color, justification, and even anti-aliasing can all be controlled in the Property inspector. Because Flash is both an interactive tool and an animation tool, you can add text effects to a Web page that are simply unavailable through HTML or Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
