In Flash MX, video support was introduced. In Flash MX 2004, it was improved. Now, not only can video be imported, but it can be linked to externally without saving your Flash file as a QuickTime movie.
In this chapter, we review the use of video in Flash, and the use of media components to link to external video files.
Video can either be directly imported into Flash, or if it is in FLV format, it can be linked to externally. This first section we will review importing video and what to do with it once it's in.
