When you think about it, there’s a mind-bogglingly large number of ways to talk to someone these days: You can text someone; you can use social media to send that person a direct message; you can use a communications platform such as Zoom or Teams to exchange posts or chat messages; you can connect with a voice or video call.
And, of course, you can email that person. Email has been around seemingly forever and is starting to get a noticeably fusty odor about it, as though it’s past its “best before” date. Email does have a slightly old-fashioned feel, but that doesn’t mean its day is done. Far from it. After all, more than 4 billion people use email around the world and chances are most of the folks you know have at least one email account. Even millennials still use email, for crying out loud!
