At last, we get to the crux of the matter! It’s time to put some toner (or ink) to paper (or vellum, or transparencies, or … well, you get the picture).
For the most part, whether on a Mac or PC, printing steps and options are pretty universal. However, on occasion, an application’s developer can get a wild hair and really muck up the printing process with a million print options of its own. I can’t help you with those kinds of issues (that’s why application developers have tech support, too), but I can give you the basics.
