Basic Word Processing Tools
What most folks think of as “work” on their computer usually involves some level of word processing. In terms of importance, the ability to write letters and reports is right up there with the ability to get email for many users.
Neither Windows nor Mac OS X comes loaded with a full-bore, top-of-the-line word processor, but there are third-party alternatives galore for both platforms. However, both do come with adequate basic word processors.
