Abstract

Experiments in the midsized tokamak ASDEX Upgrade (AUG) aim at improving the physics base for ITER and DEMO to prepare operation and aid the design. Being equipped with all tungsten plasma facing components ASDEX Upgrade could acquire important results concerning the fuel retention, tungsten sources and transport important for the operation of all metal devices.
