In this chapter, the basic working modes of the ME laminates, i.e.,
longitudinally magnetized and transversely polarized (or L–T),
longitudinally magnetized and longitudinally polarized (or L–L), and
transversely magnetized and transversely polarized (or T–T), modes

equivalent circuits for these modes were developed. The proposed
equivalent circuit method is quite useful for both static and dynamic
analysis of ME laminates, especially for electromechanical resonance
analysis. Our equivalent circuit method predicts that (i) ME coupling
