Group types

In the last Time for action, we discovered that when we create a new group we can decide what type it is going to be. There are three types of 'Standard' Groups that normal Mahara users can choose between:

  • Open membership: Any logged in user of the site can join your group.
  • Request membership: Users of the site can decide to request membership to your group. You then have the option of whether or not to accept them.
  • Invite only: Only site users to whom you have sent an invitation are able to join your group. These users can decide whether or not to accept or decline your invitation.
