Content Management in Action: A Practical Example
Before we look at the concepts and building blocks of content management and CMSs, I would like to introduce an example of content management in action. It can be difficult to grasp concepts without any concrete example of how the concepts eventually translate into something tangible. In this chapter, we start with something as concrete and simple as possible, a site’s home page, and work out from the end result to examine what is going on behind the scenes. This will serve to introduce the concepts that we discuss in more detail in the following chapter.
