Reasoning is the action of thinking about something in a logical and sensible way, and it is a key part of decision-making. Decision-making is about the choice of actions, and reasoning is how we explain the choice to ourselves and others.

The great American businessman and long-time CEO of General Motors, Alfred P. Sloan, said,
