Chapter 2. Basic Bike Mods
Hacking, especially on an expensive or irreplaceable bike, can intimidate even an experienced tinkerer. This chapter is all about some super basic bike hacks pretty much anyone can do. Once you get your feet wet with these, you’ll be primed to try something more challenging. Consider the SpokePOV, an electronic kit (seen in Figure 2-1) you can solder together and add to your bike. It is a reasonably challenging build that is certain to embolden you to do more cool stuff to your bike. In this chapter, we’ll check out a number of similarly easy mods.
