Pendulum Challenge
A fun reflex game for all ages.

I WAS RECENTLY ASKED TO SPEAK TO a classroom of college-bound high school students for a career day discussion. I gladly accepted the offer but soon wondered how I should present the profession of engineering to a generation that’s already immersed in computers, cellphones, and MP3 players.
Realizing that my audience needed more than just talk, I decided to include the design and demonstration of an actual device. Then the idea hit me: a battery-operated, interactive gadget based on a game in a local arcade. The Pendulum Challenge was born.
