Paso Robles, Calif. artist Michael Weiss makes his Winebots out of recycled California wine barrel rings, hand-bent and welded into humanoid shapes and poses. La Semana, on exhibit in the tasting room at Wild Coyote Estate Winery, depicts everyman’s Monday through Sunday. The installation is only a small sample of the playful characters and scenes Weiss designs, which in turn are a fraction of the art and products Weiss’ shop creates, almost exclusively from retired wine production materials, including barrels, vines, and more. ...
