Project 8: Air Drum Kit

An air drum kit is like the percussive version of an air guitar. Instead of waving your hands around in an over-enthusiastic strumming gesture when the power of a song overtakes you, you pretend to hit invisible snares, cymbals, and toms. The idea of this project is to use our floating hot points to make this kind of fantasy instrument playing come to life, to trigger actual sounds when you hit make believe drums that only you can see.

When we last left off, we had a working hot point. We displayed a cube correctly positioned within the point cloud, we detected any points that enter that cube, and we gave the user feedback based on this interaction.
