STEP 3: CAPTURE KNOWLEDGE

During this step, you plan and carry out the knowledge capture. Begin by coordinating all of the activities that must occur:

  • List all tasks that must be accomplished to gather the knowledge.
  • Identify and enlist necessary resources.
  • Schedule knowledge capture events.
  • Capture knowledge.
  • Validate knowledge accuracy.

LIST TASKS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED

Grab some paper or open a Word document and list all the tasks that you need to perform to gather the knowledge. Be specific. Include all the tasks involved to prepare for, carry out, and follow up after the capture events. Consider sharing your completed list with other stakeholders or revisiting the list after a few days.
