5 Know Your Previous Job Patterns
If you are looking for a job, it’s important that you know what your previous patterns are, so that you can make a choice: Do I repeat my previous patterns this time? Without knowing what our patterns are, we tend to repeat them. Once we know, we have choices.
One of the best ways I know how to do this is with a career timeline.
Take a piece of paper that is sufficiently large for your career. When I run workshops I ask people to take a piece of flipchart paper and turn it landscape. A regular piece of paper or two pieces taped together might work if you’ve been in the workplace for a while. Make sure the paper is in landscape mode, not portrait.
