Business Ethics—The Islamic Perspective
The aim of this chapter titled “Ethics—The Islamic Perspective” is to present the ethical course of action for managers from an Islamic viewpoint. In the modern world, the western/contemporary school of thought presents various notions to cover business ethics that do not necessarily apply to values, morals, and ethics as expressed through the Islamic lens.
This chapter explores the need of IBE; it details why Islam addresses business ethics. We then take into account the law of permissibility and business in Islam, followed by deliberation on the Islamic ethical system that forms the core of ethics associated with any walk in life.
