Over the years, but especially in the last five years, I have been thinking a great deal about information and information organizations. I have always thought, and still think, that information organizations are very different from other organizations and, therefore, require special attention. Additionally, burgeoning changes in the online world and an almost overwhelming influence of these changes on our lives and the nature of our relationships forced me to think consistently about information and the organizations dealing in it.
