11 IMPLEMENTING DATA QUALITY MANAGEMENT

For organisational change to be effective, there needs to be a clear and coherent plan for the changes to be delivered. This chapter describes the factors to be considered when planning and implementing improvements to data quality management in an organisation.

OVERALL APPROACH TO DATA QUALITY MANAGEMENT IMPLEMENTATION

ISO 8000-61 describes a framework of the activities that need to be in place and the links between them to allow an organisation to adopt good approaches to data quality management. This conceptual model is not, however, suitable for implementation ‘as is’.
