Expatriate Employees Study

“Expat Study” for short, this study involved interviews with 71 “company-assigned” expatriates, drawn from five firms with headquarters in the United States, UK, and Europe, representing four industries: financial services/banking, pharmaceuticals, transportation services, and media/communications.

The objectives of the study were to understand how expatriates define expatriate ROI, the measures they perceive are being used to assess ROI from expatriation, and which factors cause ROI to increase and decrease.
