Trailing Spouses Study

“TS Study” for short, this study involved surveying 264 trailing spouses on assignment in 54 host countries.

The objectives of the study were to understand the barriers to mobility that prevent expatriate families from undertaking an international assignment; the types of organizational support that assist trailing spouses’ adjustment to the host-location; and the factors that cause, and the impact arising from, marital stress during expatriation.
