What gets us up in the morning – habit, routine, a sense of purpose? We make promises to do things and promises to decide things. Some of these intentions we fulfil, others we don't – why? Some people get more done than others; some set goals while others drift along; some can't get started, others can't be stopped. We are in the realms of motivation. Look at any group of people performing the same task and the observer will be obliged to conclude that some perform better than others.
