About the Author

Rex Black (Rex_Black@RexBlackConsulting.com) is the president and principal consultant of Rex Black Consulting Services, Inc. (www.RexBlackConsulting.com), an international software and hardware testing and quality assurance consultancy. A hands-on practitioner for two decades, he and his teams of expert test engineers, test toolsmiths, and test technicians help clients such as Bank One, Cisco, Compaq, Dell, General Electric, Hitachi, Household Finance, Motorola, Netpliance, Schlumberger, Sun, Williams Communications, and others with implementation, consulting, training, and staffing for testing, test automation, and quality assurance projects. He has worked with these clients on projects throughout the United States and in Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the U.K.

His popular first book, Managing the Testing Process, is now in its second edition, and joined by his new book, Critical Testing Processes. Rex also wrote the entry on test management for Wiley's Encyclopedia of Software Engineering along with numerous articles and papers. Rex is an internationally recognized speaker and trainer on the topic of testing, offering courses for practitioners ranging from beginners and seasoned pros alike.
