Chapter 9. Set Up and Track Investments
For the vast majority of us, the key to comfortable living in future years and a stress-free retirement is a solid and consistent savings and investment program. Quicken lets you update current market values and see whether you are earning or losing money on your investments.
Investments in Quicken are contained in a portfolio, which in turn can contain one or more securities. A security can be a single mutual fund, stocks, bonds, or a collection of investments that you have in a brokerage account.
In this chapter, you’ll learn how to set up and add to an investment portfolio in Quicken, such as the kind of portfolio you would manage in an IRA or 401(k) account.
